Our Story

Who we are

After a stint cooking in London Tom opened Tom’s Food in 2014, and the café quickly built a reputation for superb locally roasted, barista-style coffee and freshly cooked, seasonal dishes with a creative edge. 

In 2018, Tom was joined by Lorna — and Fig the cockapoo — and they are now navigating family life while living above the café with their two sons.

Expanding the Experience

Private Dining, Catering & Celebration Cakes

Over the years, we have expanded our services to include private dining, private chef hire, bespoke event catering, and a popular series of supper clubs hosted throughout the year.

Tom leads our intimate private chef dining, while Lorna takes the reins on event catering with vibrant, seasonal spreads. A passionate baker, Lorna also creates all our daily café treats and bespoke celebration cakes, which are handmade to order with the same care and flavour that defines everything we do.
